Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that meet the educational requirements of the school and adhere to state standards.
2. Create a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes learning and the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each student.
3. Assess and record students' progress, while providing timely feedback to both students and parents through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences.
4. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the educational program, including participating in professional development opportunities and school committee work.
5. Integrate technology and other educational tools into the curriculum to enhance student learning and engagement.
6. Address any student behavioral issues in and out of the classroom promptly and in accordance with the school's policies and procedures, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.

Skills & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Valid teaching certification or credential for elementary education.
3. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, such as student teaching, tutoring, or volunteer work.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of current educational methodologies and practices, including differentiated instruction and inclusive education.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
6. Flexibility and creativity in lesson planning and ability to adapt teaching style to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
